I was born and raised in Myanmar. Then, I flew across the Pacific Ocean to study Engineering Physics at University of California, Berkeley. I fell in love with single-molecule biophysics during my summer research at University of Wisconsin, Madison.  After two brutal winters in Boston, I decided to pack the luggage and move to sunny San Diego with the Reck-Peterson laboratory. There, I am researching cellular transport processes driven by microtubule-associated motor protein, cytoplasmic dynein. When I am not doing experiments, I am an amateur photographer, travel enthusiast and enjoy relaxing on beach and watching lots of movies.
