Honors and Awards to Those in the Biophysics Community

Congratulations to Albert Chen (4th Year Graduate Student) for being selected for the 2024 inaugral Marci and Martin Karplus Family Foundation Biophysics Prize Fellowship!

The Marci and Martin Karplus Family Foundation Biophysics Prize Fellowship is made possible by a generous gift to the Harvard Biophysics Graduate Program from Dr. Martin and Marci Karplus, who have worked side-by-side on ground-breaking research over many decades, and have been instrumental in the training of many former Biophysics graduate students.

In future years, one of these awards will be for a first-year student, and another award will be for a mid-level graduate student. These prize fellowships are in addition to the regular support that the students receive. Dr. Karplus and Marci, his wife, made this gift in recognition of the very high quality of Biophysics graduate students who worked with Dr. Karplus in the past.
