6th Year Graduate Student in Biophysics

Emma did her undergrad at UC Berkeley where she majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and did research on the regulation of mTORC1 recruitment to the lysosome in the lab of Roberto Zoncu. Broadly, she is interested in using biochemical and biophysical techniques to study how protein-protein and protein-lipid interactions regulate various cellular processes. Currently, Emma is a student in the Pellman lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, working on elucidating the mechanisms of nuclear envelope sealing after mitosis and in the case of rupture. Outside of lab, Emma likes to ski, play soccer, sing, and go out with friends.
