Dissertation Title:  Prediction as a Rule for Unsupervised Learning in Deep Neural Networks PhD Dissertation Advisor(s):  Dr. Gabriel Kreiman and Dr. David Cox, Boston Children's Hospital/ Center for Brain Science, Dept. of Molecular and Cellular Biology

Bill was jointly advised by Professor Gabriel Kreiman and Professor David Cox during his PhD dissertation studies.  His research interests included machine learning, computational neuroscience, and computer vision.  Using guiding principles from the brain, Bill developed deep neural network models for applications such as unsupervised learning from visual stimuli.  In his free time, Bill is a competitive powerlifter.
