Dr. Robert Koffie is the Chairman and CEO of Spine Capital www.spinecapital.org, a spine surgery company dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes through advanced, patient-centered care. He is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with a passion for innovation and access in spine health.

Dr. Koffie earned dual BSc degrees in Physics and Biochemistry from Indiana University, where he was a Wells Scholar, graduating summa cum laude and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to complete both his MD and PhD in Biophysics through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) Program, graduating magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School. He later received his MBA from Harvard Business School, rounding out a unique academic foundation at the intersection of medicine, science, and business.

He completed neurosurgical residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Koffie then practiced as a complex spine neurosurgeon in Wisconsin, where he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Throughout his career, Dr. Koffie recognized that access to world-class spine care remains out of reach for many. In response, he founded Spine Capital to build a global platform that democratizes access to high-quality spine surgery.

Dr. Koffie has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He has served on the MD Admissions Committees at both Harvard Medical School and the HST program, the Young Neurosurgeons Committee of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the selection committee for the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans, and has served on the boards of several private companies. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Harvard Business School Club of Arizona.
