Dissertation Title: Architectural solutions for hydraulically-coupled Material transport in plants
PhD Dissertation Advisor: Dr. Noel Michele Holbrook Organismic and Evolutionary Biology Department, Harvard University
I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Biophysics and Mathematics. My PhD research focused on modeling and theory of hydrodynamics in biological systems. I studied the physiology of fluid transport within plants and their environment, especially in the larger context of drought resistance and climate change. While I don't consider myself an experimentalist in the lab, I certainly am one in the kitchen! Aside from the office and my kitchen, you could also often find me at one of Boston's many museums and greenspaces.
