Melissa Mai
5th Year Graduate Student in Biophysics
I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Biophysics and Mathematics. My research focuses on modeling and theory of hydrodynamics in biological systems. Currently I am interested in the physiology of fluid transport within plants and their environment, especially in the larger context of drought resistance and climate change. While I don't consider myself an experimentalist in the lab, I certainly am one in the kitchen! Aside from the office and my kitchen, you can also often find me at one of Boston's many museums and greenspaces.
