Dissertation Title:  Surface behaviors in development: pattern formation in the cell cortex and nuclear envelope PhD Dissertation Advisor:  Dr. Adam C. Martin, Dept. of Biology, MIT

I did my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where I majored in Physics and Molecular & Cell Biology. I'm broadly interested in forces at the cellular and tissue level, and for my dissertation I conducted research on oogenesis in fruit flies. In the past, I've worked on computational optics simulations and the sequencing of DNA using solid-state nanopores. When I'm not working, I enjoy trying new food, reading, and going for walks and hikes.
