Dissertation Title:  Predicting the Effects of Missense Variants on Protein Structure, Function, and Evolution PhD Dissertation Advisor:  Dr. Shamil Sunyaev, Division of Genetics, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School

Daniel researched computational methods to predict the phenotypic effects of genetic variants based on evolutionary history and protein biophysics. His major project was on identifying and characterizing interactions between multiple sites within proteins. In his spare time, he plays viola and piano, sings, fences, and brews beer.
