I am interested in applying single molecule fluorescence techniques to study the function and regulation of molecular motor enzymes.  My work is focused on two systems: 1) studying how RNA structure and dynamics regulate the activity of HIV reverse transcriptase, and 2) understanding how SWI/SNF-family enzymes disrupt protein-DNA contacts during chromatin remodeling.
