Dissertation Title: Rationally designed immunogens enable immune focusing following SARS-CoV-2 spike imprinting PhD Dissertation Advisor: Dr. Aaron G. Schmidt, Ragon Institue of Massachusetts General Hospital
While an HST MD-PhD student in Aaron Schmidt's lab, I worked at the intersection of virology and structural biology to design and optimize immunogens that can confer protection against viral infections. Additionally, I worked to better understand viral evolution as driven by human immune responses using both computational and wet lab approaches. Previously, I obtained my undergraduate degree at UNC-Chapel Hill and a masters at the University of Cambridge. Outside of lab, I enjoy backpacking, hiking, and good food.
