I am studying chromatin remodelers, which are proteins that move nucleosomes along DNA. These proteins maintain and change chromatin structure, affecting DNA packaging and gene expression. Using in vitro fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) assays and other approaches, I hope to improve our mechanistic understanding of these important proteins. Outside of lab, I enjoy rock climbing.
