**Dissertation Title:** Mechanisms of Regulation of Cytoplasmic Dynein **PhD Dissertation Advisor:** Dr. Samara Reck-Peterson, Dept. of Cell Biology, Harvard Medical School, and University of California, San Diego I was born and raised in Myanmar. Then, I flew across the Pacific Ocean to study Engineering Physics at University of California, Berkeley. I fell in love with single-molecule biophysics during my summer research at University of Wisconsin, Madison. I then moved to UC San Diego with the Reck-Peterson laboratory. There, I am researched cellular transport processes driven by microtubule-associated motor protein, cytoplasmic dynein. I am also an amateur photographer, travel enthusiast and enjoy relaxing on the beach and watching lots of movies.
