**Dissertation Title:** Generative statistical methods for biological sequences **PhD Dissertation Advisor:** Dr. Debora Marks, Dept. of Systems Biology, Harvard Medical School For my PhD research, I worked at the interface of generative Bayesian models and search algorithms, aiming to find novel combinatorial genetic systems in large sequence databases. My long-term interest is in the development of new mathematical tools and methodologies for understanding biological phenomena.
