**Dissertation Title:** Developing Methods to Study Dynamic Biological Processes in Single Cells with Microscopy **PhD Dissertation Advisor:** Dr. Johann Paulsson, Dept. of Systems Biology, Harvard Medical School I completed my undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Physics and Biology at Virginia Tech in May 2012. After arriving at Harvard, I joined the Paulsson lab in December 2013 where I worked on theoretical questions about molecular interactions that give rise to oscillations. More specifically, I investigated whether there are mathematical limits to the ability of the cell to maintain stable molecular oscillations in the presence of high noise.
